The Lutron LOS Series LOS-WIR-WH is a wall- or ceiling-mount passive infrared occupancy sensor with closure output, suited for commercial work areas, storage rooms, indoor garages, and spaces with pendant fixtures or high ceilings above 12 ft. The self-adaptive PIR sensor covers 1,600 sq ft at 8–12 ft ceiling heights, employing an internal microprocessor that logs occupancy patterns over an initial four-week period to automatically adjust dual sensitivity bias thresholds—delivering reliable motion detection with high error immunity and eliminating manual recalibration callbacks. Operating at 20–24VDC, the sensor features an aim-and-lock flexible base mount for wall or ceiling installation, integrates with Lutron systems for dimming or off-state unoccupied control, and supports stand-alone use via a Lutron power pack; non-volatile memory preserves settings through power outages.
